Membership is by invitation and the selection and vetting process is thorough, including a vote by one of SoDA’s four Regional Committees (North America, South America, Europe and Asia-Pacific), ratification by the SoDA Board of Directors and finally a vote by the full membership of agencies from around the globe. It goes without saying that after 11 years in business, joining this select group of industry leaders is an extreme honor for our team.
So what does this mean? For our leadership team, it means access to a network of colleagues, while competitors, all working towards developing best practices for our relatively new industry. It means access to benchmark surveys, vetted business advisors, talent exchange, and much more. For our team, it means access to peer collaboration groups and early access to software and hardware from association sponsors including Adobe and Microsoft. For our clients, it means operational improvements based on transparent access to what works and what doesn’t across the association membership.
Earlier this year, our leadership team headed to Las Vegas to attend SoDA’s Global Member Meeting. With agencies from all corners of the world in attendance, this incredible event, consisting of panels, breakout sessions, lunches, dinners, and drinks (and more drinks), made clear the incredible value of the organization and the openness of its members. We left inspired, informed, and with a lot of new friends (and a bit of a hangover).
