Engine Digital is excited to continue its engagement with Concord Theatricals, a relationship that began with Samuel French and continued after the historic theatrical company’s acquisition by Concord Music in late 2018.

Engine Digital has been providing strategy, design, and engineering services to Samuel French, and now Concord Theatricals, since 2017, initially tasked with a complete overhaul of the brand’s e-commerce site which re-launched in 2018. The agency has continued to provide support through optimization and site enhancement since launch.

Concord Theatricals supports both creators and producers of musicals and plays with theatrical licensing, script publishing, and cast recordings. It also develops, licenses, produces, and invests in musicals and plays for production.

The Concord catalog includes the works of greats like Rodgers & Hammerstein, Cole Porter, George & Ira Gershwin, Lin-Manuel Miranda, August Wilson, Tennessee Williams, and Andrew Lloyd Webber, and such notable titles as Chicago, Heathers, Grease, Wizard of Oz, A Chorus Line, Rock of Ages, and The Sound of Music.

Under this renewed engagement, Engine Digital will continue to help Concord Theatricals make improvements to its e-commerce experience, integrating steps that incorporate the licensing and purchase process, and helping customers to complete these complex transactions with ease.

The Concord Theatricals e-commerce site is a headless platform powered by a WordPress front-end, and integrated with several back-office systems that support the organization’s business processes.
