To bring Run Genie to life, we helped the Adidas Futures Group accelerate the design and build process, creating a testable product prototype to understand the value of data and connected services in improving the purchase experience for customers.
Through data visualization delivered through a tablet app, Run Genie empowers sales associates with the insight needed to help customers find and purchase the best shoe for their foot type and running style.
With Run Genie pods connected, customers can test running shoes on an in-store treadmill, sending data back to the app for visualization. This shows customers their unique running style and physical traits, providing a recommendation for shoes that fit their specific needs. Installed in several flagship retail stores, engagement with Run Genie resulted in higher than normal purchase rates in test markets around the world.
Partnering with Engine Digital enabled us to deliver a new innovation for running shoe shopping. Their collaborative work style kept the project moving fast, allowing us to rapidly prototype and test out product ideas. This allowed us to do multiple iterations and refine the product to deliver a stellar in-store experience.
